RMHAM University shifts to Denver church ahead of October 10 sessions

Rocky Mountain Ham Radio has moved its October 10 RMHAM University program to Wellshire Presbyterian Church, 2999 S. Colorado Blvd. in Denver, after construction made the previously planned Cherry Creek School facility unavailable. The organization announced the change October 4 and says the program is now less than a week away.

The annual training event is set to open with Gus, KB0YH, presenting “HF Antennas, Big and Small.” Other planned sessions include Digital Mobile Radio and remote-station operation, while the NERDFEST activity is also returning. RMHAM credits Willem, AC0KQ, with organizing this year’s subject schedule.

For Arkansas Valley operators, the updated venue matters more than a routine meeting notice: RMHAM University is a regional chance to compare station-building and digital-operating practices with other Colorado amateurs. The program’s mix of HF antenna work, DMR and remote control is relevant to home stations and to operators looking to extend access to a station beyond the shack.

Attendees should use RMHAM’s event page for registration and the current program details, rather than relying on older venue information. Rocky Mountain Ham Radio says participation will be available in person or through Zoom.
