The Arkansas Valley Radio Club is open to anyone interested in radio in any form — amateur, GMRS, shortwave listening, or just curiosity. You don’t need a license to join, and membership is never denied on the basis of race, creed, color, gender, sexual orientation, political affiliation, or marital status.
You don’t have to join to use the repeaters
All of our repeaters are public and open to any licensed operator — membership is not required, and never will be. Joining supports the equipment and the club’s work in the community, and it gives you a voice: members elect the officers and board, and vote on club matters like the dues schedule.
Dues
$40 per year
The annual call for dues goes out August 1st; paying by December 31st keeps your membership in good standing for the year. Family memberships and voluntary higher levels are available — ask the Treasurer.
Who can join
Anyone interested in radio
No amateur license required — a license is only needed if you want to hold a club office. New members agree to abide by the Club Constitution and By-Laws.
What membership does
A vote, and a hand in the work
Members elect the officers and board every two years, vote on the dues schedule, and steer club projects — repeater work, Field Day, service projects, and helping new operators get on the air.
How to join
Pick whichever is easiest — there’s no form.
